I have been searching for this recipe since I was a teenager and I have finally found it! I had oreo pie at age 16 at Planet Hollywood in Sydney and it was A-MA-ZING. When it closed down I was worried I would never eat this heavenly cake again. For years I googled and googled with no success. I only found American recipes where everything came from a can or was prepared, not really my style. BUT I am pleased to tell you I’ve found the holy grail…when maybe not the holy grail but a fabulous oreo cheesecake/oreo pie recipe.

Pavlova is a meringue based cake topped with whipped cream and sliced fruit. It is a loved Australian dessert.

Who ever says no to their favourite fruit skewered and dipped in lovely, silky molten chocolate? The answer is no one. I used strawberries, bananas, marshmallows and grapes, but the sky is the limit as to what you can dip in chocolate. Don’t forget to leave me a comment if you come across something uniquely delicious!

A no bake fabulous cake! This is my mum’s favourite and so I made it for her birthday just recently. Everyone loved it so I made another one two weeks later and again it was demolished in minutes. Think biscuit base, a layer of luscious caramel, Chantilly cream and topped with bananas. This one is a real treat!
The caramel isn’t hard to make but it takes a few hours. You can make it weeks ahead because it cooks in it’s can and stays airtight. I suggest boiling two or three cans at once and keeping them in your pantry for the next time you have a craving for Banoffee Pie. Trust me once you’ve had a taste, you’ll be coming back for more!!!

With a name like yum yum balls I thought these were appropriate for the silly season! These are very simple to make so they’re perfect to make with the kids during the holidays. They are very yummy as the name suggests so they won’t last long. I came home from work to photograph these ones and more than half were missing!!! Merry Christmas everyone :)

I have had a lot of feedback on these mini friands – lots of compliments. I think every member of my family has the recipe and has made them.

Peanut butter and chocolate are one of those matches made in heaven. These rich, chocolatety, crunchy treats are very addictive so beware. You could make them for trick or treaters this month or turn off the lights, pretend like nobody is home and eat them all yourself! Ah, hahaha (evil laugh) … I know what I’ll be doing…

This is a fun recipe to make with kids. You need an adult to melt the chocolate, but then the kids can add all the other ingredients and do the mixing. Plus, you’ll get some quiet time as they “clean up” all the left over chocolate stuck to the sides of the mixing bowl.
This is also a good Halloween recipe. Decorate the plate with extra snakes or even some scary plastic ones from your local $2 shop.

These baby tarte tatins are very cute! They’re a nice dessert to prepare for a dinner party and they look really effective plated up. You can prepare the ice cream and the apples ahead of time. That means you only have to spend 5 minutes max away from your guests to cut out the pastry and pop them in the oven.
